Biodiversity in Costa Rica:
South Caribbean Coast, South Pacific Coast, and Talamanca Mountains
March 23-31, 2026

After our first night at the Hotel Bougainvillea, we begin our adventure with two days on the South Caribbean coast at Cariblue Beach and Jungle Resort. There, we’ll explore Cahuita National Park’s rainforest, where we’re likely to spot both species of sloth, Howler Monkeys, White-faced Monkeys, and other wildlife. From the Caribbean coast, we take a private charter flight across the country to the south Pacific coast for two nights at Punta Marenco Lodge. There, we explore Corcovado National Park—one of the most biodiverse and pristine places on Earth.
Our journey concludes with two days at Savegre Lodge, nestled in the Cloud Forest of the Talamanca Mountains and home to the Resplendent Quetzal, one of the most iconic birds in the Americas. Join us for an unforgettable exploration of Costa Rica’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife!

Diverse Habitats in Costa Rica:
Northern Wetlands, Arenal Volcano, San Ramon Mountains.
April 8-16, 2026

This is a brand new tour designed to immerse you in nature and local culture. We begin with a night at the Hotel Bougainvillea, set among lush gardens. Then we travel to the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge near Costa Rica’s northern border. For two days, we stay at the Tocu Tent Camp while exploring wetlands and forests by boat and on foot. The refuge is renowned for its abundant wildlife and bird diversity.
After Caño Negro, we move to the Arenal Observatory Lodge, where we will spend three days exploring the rainforest and marveling at the spectacular active Arenal Volcano. We conclude our trip with two days in the San Ramón mountains, staying at Villa Blanca, where we will explore the cloud forest and search for nesting Resplendent Quetzals.

Costa Rica-Coast to Coast:
Tortuguero, South Pacific Coast, Talamanca Mountains
July 17-25, 2026

Our adventure begins with a night at the beautiful Hotel Bougainvillea in San José, set among lush gardens. Next, we travel to Tortuguero, a remote and magical destination accessible only by boat or plane. We stay two nights at the Manatus Lodge in tropical surroundings. By day, we explore the rich biodiversity of Tortuguero National Park by boat, and by night, we seek to witness the unforgettable sight of Green Sea Turtles nesting on the beach. From Tortuguero, we take a private charter flight to Palmar Sur on the south Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Our driver takes us to Crystal Ballena, a boutique hotel with a private rainforest preserve. There, we take a wildlife tour of the Sierpe River and a boat cruise of coastal waters in search of calving humpback whales. Our trip ends with two days at the Talamanca Mountain Range, the highest in Costa Rica. We conclude our journey with two peaceful nights at the cozy Savegre Lodge, exploring cloud forests and hoping to spot the magnificent Resplendent Quetzal, one of the region’s most iconic birds.
